It’s been a while since we last reached out, and honestly, we’ve missed talking to you. We wanted to pause, breathe, and start this year intentionally, and reconnect properly.

We’ve been quiet for a while, but that silence has been intentional. We’ve actually been rebuilding with you in mind!
Hub One is now moving to a new location in Yaba (just a stone throw from our previous office), and plans to deepen its support for startups and SMEs and scale its impact across Africa.
The hub will also support AI builders with access to relevant tools, infrastructure, and partnerships.
We’re relaunching this Q2, and we wanted you to be the first to know.

STANLIB Infrastructure acquires Cassava Africa Data Centres
Big news from South Africa! The Competition Tribunal approved STANLIB Infrastructure’s acquisition of Cassava Africa Data Centres, home to some of Africa’s most prized digital infrastructure.
However, it comes with a twist: Cassava’s sister company, Liquid Telecoms, is currently facing financial challenges and was recently downgraded to a high-credit-risk investment. One arm of the group is world-class, the other struggling; it will be interesting to see if challenges in one corner affect the rest of the empire.
